SENIOR

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design of building HVAC systems.  The senior engineer is expected to perform a variety of design and managerial tasks without daily supervision.  The Senior Mechanical Engineer supervises the work of design drafters, junior engineers and designers.

INTERMEDIATE

Plumbing / Fire Protection Project Engineer

At dbHMS, Plumbing / Fire Protection Project Engineers execute the design of plumbing systems involved in building construction projects.  Project Engineers must be able to perform their own drafting, calculations and design, supervise the work of CAD Drafters and Junior Engineers, and follow the direction of Senior Engineers on larger projects.  Previous experience in designing plumbing building systems is required.

ENTRY LEVEL

Design Drafter

At dbHMS a Design Drafter applies the knowledge of modeling and drafting software to the development of specific projects across all disciplines of the Design Studio using dbHMS BIM/CAD Standards. This role will primarily focus on In-Progress projects and be dedicated to support a specific Design Team or Project.

BIM Project Coordinators

Multiple positions available in Chicago.

Assist design teams in architectural systems, development of complex drawings using BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology, documentation, coordination, and to accomplish architecturally challenging system designs while leveraging BIM tools. Apply knowledge of modeling and drafting software to develop active architectural design projects, study architectural drawings, create mechanical, electrical and plumbing system geometry and drawings using REVIT. Follow standards to produce appealing and accurate drawings, comply with BIM and planning standards. Manage project models, deliverables and deadlines. Attend BIM coordination meetings with design and construction partners.
