Sustainable First Federal Bank
Architect: Gensler Architecture
dbHMS Role: MEP/FP Design
dbHMS is working on a unique sustainable bank branch for the First Federal Bank with Gensler Architecture. The building combines a unique passive solar design integrated with rain water collection, high efficiency geothermal heating and cooling systems. Wind turbines on site supplement the primary energy source for the lighting in the main banking hall and are tied to the electrical power grid via net metering. The systems also incorporate solar thermal panels to heat domestic water and assist with the space heating requirements.
