The project was designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED©) NCv2.2 Gold level certification and utilizes efficient lighting and controls, solar hot water heating, and efficient HVAC systems. Several systems were evaluated as part of the design process with a life cycle cost analysis. The project was awarded a grant of $300K to implement solar cooling as part of the design.
