The William Eckhardt Research Center at the University of Chicago is the new home for the University’s Division of Physical Sciences units including the Astronomy and Astrophysics Department, the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Studies, and the Enrico Fermi Institute. Additionally, the University’s new program in Molecular Engineering will be housed in this facility offering offices, conference rooms, a clean room and specialized laboratory and imaging facilities for the department’s use.
dbHMS is the Commissioning Authority in association with Working Buildings. Commissioning challenges are of the highest order including N+1 requirements, cleanrooms, and vibrations isolation for imaging labs.
